I am offering some of my specialty tulip bulbs for sale this fall. You cannot buy these gorgeous, double, peony like tulips at local box stores.

Tulip bulb packaging should be opened immediately upon arrival to allow the tulips to breath and check for any issues. They need to be planted in the ground as soon as possible. You can read online how to grow / plant tulips for specific instructions. For me personally, I plant my tulip bulbs 6-8inches deep in October and November. Tulips love cold weather and actually need to it in order to grow beautiful blooms. If you have pest issues, like voles or squirrels, I suggest you take preventative measures so that they are not eating your bulbs. You can lay hardware cloth on the bottom of your tulip bed (where you plan on planting the bulbs), you can sprinkle cayenne pepper or cinnamon in the area, you can put chicken wire on top so that the squirrels cannot dig them up. Loss is typical, but preventative measures like these, can help lower that number. Remember, deer and bunnies also love to eat tulips. I have chicken wire around my tulip beds, or they are planted right next to our house. In order for tulips to come back year after year, the foliage needs to be left on them to die back naturally and regenerate the bulb. Even when this happens, there is no guarantee that tulips will come back year after year. The specialty tulips with double petals are grown more as annuals. Some mold on the bulbs can be normal.

I will reiterate, the box needs to be opened immediately upon arrival and they should be planted ASAP.

All bulbs are inspected by me personally before shipping and are in good condition upon shipment. No refunds or replacements will be given.
